Day 2 – Sarah: Waiting on God’s Promise

Scripture: Genesis 21:1-2

Reflection: Sarah waited decades, but God’s promise still came to pass. Don’t we all just hate waiting seasons? I remember waiting for God to make me a mother and a wife. Like Sarah, I decided to cut corners. God made me a mother, but I am still waiting to be a wife. The truth is, waiting reveals the condition of our hearts. God’s timing may stretch you, but His word never fails. Sarah laughed in doubt before she laughed with joy. Her waiting exposed her impatience, but also God’s faithfulness. Waiting seasons often show us whether our trust is rooted in His promise or in our own deadlines. Am I clinging to God’s promise, or my own timeline?

Prayer: Lord, help me trust Your timing over my own.

Application: Write down one prayer you’ve stopped believing for. Ask God to breathe fresh hope into it and commit to praying over it again with expectation.

Exercise: Do 10 minutes of gentle stretching. As you stretch, thank God for sustaining you in your waiting season.

Health Reminder: Choose a monthly date for your self-check and set a reminder in your phone or calendar so it becomes a regular rhythm.
